Congratulations Melissa Bourke

We are delighted that Melissa joined the directorship of Innes Dean Tararua Law

The directors of Innes Dean Tararua Law Ltd are proud to announce Melissa Bourke as a new director from 1 July 2017.

Melissa joined the firm in 2012 and is committed to providing quality legal advice and achieving results for all our clients. She particularly enjoys Elder law, Property law and working with families. Melissa comes from a dairy farming background and is a strong advocate of the benefits available to those living and working in a provincial area such as the Manawatu. She is married to Piet and together they are raising two daughters in Palmerston North.

She currently sits on the Manawatu Lawyer for Subject Person Panel as established by the PPPR Act (Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988) and appears in the Family court when required for those matters.

Melissa regularly attends on staff and patients at the Palmerston North Hospital and various rest homes and retirement villages. She also provides educational seminars for local medical practitioners on the development in the law regarding mental Incapacity.

Melissa also sits on the Manawatu Branch Council of the New Zealand Law Society, coaches netball and is involved in the Christian Community Church on Pascal Street, particularly in the areas of teaching and mentoring young people.
